Sandura® Tropical Shingles
We are manufacturing the next generation in Wallaba shingles known as SANDURA® TROPICAL SHINGLES.
By enhancing the production techniques for Sandura® Wallaba shingles, there is less waste of forest resources, creating greater sustainable harvesting and reducing negative effects on the rainforest environment. New technology used in the manufacturing of Sandura® shingles is safer for experienced craftsmen and offers consumers a wider range of styles and shapes.
Also, one of the greatest advantages of the Sandura® Wallaba shingles process is that it produces a more uniform product. Sandura® shingles are naturally beautiful, environmentally friendly and the manufacturing process has a low carbon footprint. Our shingles have superior insulating value and are incredibly durable.
Roofing Shingles
When properly installed, Wallaba shingles can resist winds of up to 170 mph and have withstood the test of time. This highly dense wooden shingle has a coarse texture and a grain that is typically straight. As Sandura® Wallaba Shingles weather to a beautiful silver patina color, the roof becomes reflective and cool. Therefore, the shingles act as insulators, reducing environmental heating and keeping structures cooler.
This natural shingle meets Class A, B, and C roof system fire ratings when properly installed, making it one of the safest and best wood roofing products in the world.
Sidewall Shingles
Sandura® Siding is made from luxury hardwood harvested from the rainforest of Guyana, South America. The beautiful wood used in the manufacturing of Sandura® Siding are protected by government agencies focused on securing future forest resources for generations to come.
At our manufacturing plant, meticulous cuts are made with great precision to ensure that all siding boards are straight and consistent in thickness and width. Untreated, the wood has a “Class A” fire rating, making it naturally almost as fire resistant as concrete or metal. We stand by our Sandura® Siding with a 20-year product guarantee for as long as the original owner possesses the property.
